🛠️ Making of the Tech Inventory Toolkit: Putting it together and a request for help

Hey Reader,

So, I spent this tooling around to fit together the pieces of my tech inventory and template newsletter series into an easily accessible toolkit so I decided in today's newsletter I would share the building process with you. I really enjoy reading through the processes and tools that other creators use to put together their supportive products and I hope you will find this kind of nuts and bolts email useful as well.

🚀 Why I Created The Toolkit

Managing a business’s tech stack can be overwhelming, yet it’s crucial for success. My goal was to simplify this process, providing you with a practical tool and the know-how to use it effectively.

🛠️ Crafting the Toolkit: The Pieces

  • A Tech Inventory Template: I chose to create the first version of my template in a Google Sheet for its ease of use, popularity, and sharing capabilities, making it the perfect foundation for our Tech Inventory Template.
  • Newsletter Series: Guiding You Step-by-Step To complement the template, I designed a newsletter series focused on optimizing your tech tools, guiding you through each aspect of tech inventory management.
  • Portal for the Toolkit: I decided to add a one-stop resource to transforming the newsletter content into a Membervault product to consolidate everything into a single, convenient portal for easy access.

📈 Beyond the Basics: Additional Support

Understanding that everyone’s journey is unique, I introduced two additional support options that launch today:

  • Email Accountability Support Series ($9): A series of emails designed to keep you on track with your tech inventory progress.
  • Personal 1:1 Tech Inventory Review($69): For personalized guidance and strategies.

🎯 The Tools That Made It Happen

Creating this experience involved a few key tools:

  • Google Sheets: For the practical, user-friendly template. I do plan to add template versions in other tools (I've been thinking about adding templates in both Notion and Airtable).
  • ConvertKit: I use Convertkit for my newsletter distribution and I decided to give it a try for launching the add-on products as well.
  • Membervault: This is my toolbox portal. And, it makes it fairly easy to bring all these resources together in an easily accessible online portal.
  • Giant White Board: I cannot put things together without a giant whiteboard to do a brain dump. Here are a few images of me thinking through the process:
